The watercolour is addressed to his friend Eugène Béjot (Paris 1867–1931), also a painter and engraver. Close to Henri-Gabriel Ibels, Henri Guérard, Félix Bracquemond, Félix Buhot... he joined the Société nationale des beaux-arts in 1893 and exhibited at the Salon until 1912. He was awarded a silver medal at the 1900 World’s Fair.
