Telescopic fan, with wallpaper depicting a terrace scene on one side and three medallions on the other, the central one showing a view of the Hongs, European and American trading posts, reflecting trade between China and the West.
The intense river traffic in front of the trading posts flying American, British, and French flags can be seen, as well as the American church (completed in 1847 and burned down in 1856) in Canton Bay.
Finely carved, pierced, and engraved sticks and guards.
