The lid features an engraving under glass (replaced?) and a mirror on the inside (damaged)

In the drawer is an embroidery (very worn) with a motif of vases and flowers, inscribed De mon Amitié reçois ce gage. Fait par Aglaée Buffault agée de 8 ans[Receive this token of my friendship. Made by Aglaée Buffault, aged 8],  and a handwritten note from 1931 identifying the work and the date.
