The Dardanelles Campaign, also known as the Gallipoli Campaign, was a campaign of the First World War that took place on the Gallipoli peninsula in the Ottoman Empire between 17 February 1915 and 9 January 1916. Great Britain and France (and Russia)  against Ottoman (and Germany). It was a defeat of Allied forces.

This fan was probably made during first naval attack February 1915 : French warships bombard the Turks positions.
