A painted wooden screen based on Pierre Langlumé’s lithographs Parades.

On one side, the first parade, dated here 1790 (but 1791 on the original), entitled Colombine délaissée ou Fiez-vous aux vains discours des hommes. [The Forsaken Columbine’ or ‘Trust in Men’s Empty Words].

And on the other, the second parade from 1793, L’orateur populaire ou Vivre libre ou mourir. [The People’s Orator, or Live Free or Die].

Pierre Langlumé (1790–1830) was a printer and, since 1818 , one of the first and most important Parisian lithographers. The Parade caricatures, produced in 1826, are a set of 12 lithographs covering the years 1791 to 1826.
