Large fan, the black silk leaf painted with an Aphrodite, allegory of feminine sensuality, on one side and roses on the reverse. Embroidered with steel sequins and topped with a lace frieze.

Mother-of-pearl sticks and guards, the guards applied with silver or steel ornamentation, engraved with the initials CJ
Condition: small tears to the silk and a few steel lozenges missing. Both guards restored under the initials.
