Fan, the paper leaf painted of, perhaps, Penelope, asked to take a husband from among her suitors. She sews while waiting for Ulysses to return, not believing him to be dead.
Very fine and delicate sticks and guards engraved with Alexander the Great's clemency towards the family of Darius.
Good condition (small damage in the trees on one stick, stains on reverse).
