Fan, the skin leaf painted with a triumph of Ceres, goddess of agriculture, harvests and fertility.
Signed Gimbel f (for the brothers Charles and Georges Gimbel from Strasbourg).
Back is paper painted
Mother-of-pearl sticks ad guards, finely carved, reperced, engraved, burgued and applied with gold and silver leaf, featuring three medallions of putti celebrating summer, with wheat harvest in the center and angels pouring flowers and fruit on either side.
Good condition (restorations to the leaf, little part of burgau missing, reassembling leaf and mount ).
