Mother-of-pearl fan, with a lorgnette.

The paper leaf is engraved with the son of the Emperor Napoleon and his dog

Condition: tears and stains (incomplete), one stick has a mother of pearl reinforcement, no lining

Size : 16,5 cm

This fan would have been offered to the first Lullaby (Berceuse) of the King of Rome, Madame Marie Marguerite MARCHAND (1769-1829), in 1816 when she was forced to leave the service of the Emperor's son and the court of Vienna, accused of having sent to Napoleon in exile in St. Helena a lock of hair of her child.
