Wooden fan, the paper leaf engraved and enhanced with gouache with two songs in tribute to the "True Republicans" and portraits of the great men of the French Revolution who died in 1793 : Jean-Paul Marat (1743-1793, Montagnard, assassinated); Louis-Michel Lepeletier, marquis de Saint-Fargeau (1760-1793, Republican, assassinated); Joseph Chalier (1747-1793, Jacobin Club, guillotined) and the young Joseph Barra (1779-1793, Republican soldier, killed in action).
