Large fan, the leaf in cream-coloured lace with a floral motif and applied with a central vellum medallion painted with an allegory of marital happiness where a young woman and a small cupid open a box from which butterflies fly away, symbols of the wedding's happiness.
Signed by the French painter E. Prieur for Émilie Prieur
The mother-of-pearl sticks and guards are pierced, engraved and applied with gold and silver leaf, with on a burgau background a small winged nymph holding doves by ribbons.
The tops of the guards are carved and engraved with golden feathers.
